Hello
It took quite a long time to find the ideal color for the machine. A color which could fit nice with the golden back panel. Is not too modern nor too outdated. This Cobalt Blue i think fit perfectly with the machine.

Hello
This is the end for this Lambro.
I must confess a “horror “…. no one noticed ? I had mounted the back upside down the first time… happily a friend have reported it to me seeing the photos, I straightened my mistake.

Hello
The machine has finished releasing descaling acids, I finally was able to make coffee with, and it’s really a pleasure. This group is able of producing a great cup with a notable facility. A subtle body, less pronounced than on a coupled group machine but a body still well present. As I had already noticed about the two groups President, the characteristics to make a good espresso are all there, without ever prevail on none other, all in balance.
See you soon I hope, to conclude this restoration 😉

Good evening everyone
I continued to work on the machine, but it does not move quickly. The body is ready to rise.
I wired the machine, and tonight I was able to put it into service, it’s nice to see water back out of the group, not a leak to report at this time, we’ll see tomorrow when the machine will cool but it looks very good.
Good evening
I have a little left these days, I will now be able to return a little more regularly.
The machine has advanced, most stainless steel are polished, and I miss it more than a cap below the level to set for water and heating.
I was able to fix the gauge, it took me two to rebuild a different but it should work, the mechanism is a common model that has the same reading level to maintain the correct angle of the needle and the needle is a modern Faema E61.
Stay tuned for more.

Hello
The week was not easy, small minor health problem that I slow down.
I have still not dropped the machine, and everything was not easy. The stainless steel are not really easy to work, it was much less complicated on the President.
Many small scratches that are time consuming to remove 😉
The piping is in place, as the heat element, I ended the group.
As against the gauge broked trying to remove the needle, I will have to adapt a new one in replacement. This is the first time it happens, the axis is usually an hard enough alloy, but here on the first try with my forceps modified to remove the needle is bent, the needle was very securely fastened I wonder if it had not been stuck, and by dint of insisting, and despite that I heated with a soldering iron, it would not come and that is the axis which broke 😕
Hello
Day’s work, polishing and assembly of the group Zodiaco, cleaning and assembling the flange on the boiler.
I was surprised to find a brass boiler cover under the grime, given the thinness I almost bet it was copper.
This Lambro surprises me every day, it’s a combination of technicals rather limits like those crummy aluminum flanges … and interesting things as the quality of the tank, its nice braze solder, and this beautiful plate.
Hello
I passed two coats of black paint on the frame last week. And also … I spent almost 8 hours to restore the stainless steel facade. This stainless steel 18/8 is an horror to polish, it is both hard to attack for roughing, and at the same time very tender on its finishing coat, not easy to get a nice shine. It remained some traces of the past of the machine that I can not remove, it is very deep and it would make too much material to remove.
The group was very dirty, but unlike steel it is in fairly good condition, for once, I have done a before/after.
You start to be a certain number to follow this humble blog, and this is very nice to know that one is a little read, thank you. Feel free to leave a comment, it’d be fun to do a little knowledge with my readers 😉
